Cendarum is v0.1.0 and pre-launch. There's no installer, nothing to pay, and no signup form — just an email address and a real conversation.
No telemetry. No newsletter. Just the build.
Why there's no form
A form needs somewhere to put the addresses, which means a database, which means one more place holding data about you. For a product whose entire argument is that we hold as little as possible, that would be a strange way to start.
So: you email us, we reply. We have your address because you sent it to us, and that's the whole data flow. The site itself sets no cookies and loads nothing from a third party.
It also converts worse than a form would, which is a trade we're making deliberately. What we need right now is fifteen conversations, not fifteen hundred email addresses.
What we're looking for
The next thing on the roadmap is discovery: putting the whole product in front of roughly fifteen to twenty developers to answer two questions we genuinely don't know the answer to.
- Does the project-and-environment model match how your team actually works, or is it one level too few, or one too many?
- Is zero-knowledge worth having fewer integrations? We think so for local development. We might be wrong, and we'd rather find out from you than from a churn number in a year.
Useful to mention when you write: what you'd point it at, your OS, and how big your team is. None of it is required.

What you should know first
We'd rather you hear this from us than discover it:
- Nothing is signed or notarised yet. You'll be running an unsigned binary, with the operating-system warnings that implies.
- The client source isn't public yet. You're trusting the architecture documentation rather than verifying it. That's a real ask, and it's why publishing the code is on the roadmap.
- There's been no third-party audit.
- Lose your master password and Recovery Kit and the data is gone. Permanently. There is no reset.
- Reading secrets needs the network. Unlocking works offline; pulling an environment doesn't.
- It's not for CI, and auto-lock on sleep is macOS-only so far.
If any of those is a dealbreaker, this page is the honest version of that conversation and will save us both time.
